The Upgrade to the LA Award is for all JLA’s who have turned 16 years of age. JLA’s eligible to take this exam will be contacted directly by the Head Instructor and Instructing team. Members who hold a JLA and turn 16 years of age before the season starts are required to upgrade to continue with their membership and perform their duties. Members who hold a JLA and turn 16 years of age before the 31^st January and wish to up-compete at National Championships will be required to complete their upgrade prior to the 31^st January.

Course registration and fee payment is required before the course start date. The course is only available to members of the Clifton Surf Lifesaving Club who are in good standing with the club.
